Primary supply units for live lobster are located in Stonington, Maine and New Hampshire. Duryea's also maintains active buying contacts throughout the Canadian Maritimes. A live lobster pound accessed by Duryea’s in Deer Isle, Maine guarantees a year round supply of quality lobsters. Duryea’s also maintains buying contacts for fish and shellfish in Montauk Harbor, Fulton Market, and along the South Shore of Long Island.
Duryea’s maintains over 120 active wholesale accounts, ranging from supermarket chains and fish markets to resellers and restaurants. The Montauk facility, located on the eastern shore of Fort Pond Bay, has a holding capacity of 12,000 pounds of lobsters, and cooler and freezer storage areas. Company personnel completed the HAACP training course and Duryea’s is monitored by NYS D.E.C. and Agriculture and Markets inspectors.
